IF You Need More Info Beyond These Sources....

NOTE: Try Google searches on [Country Name] Today or Current Events in [Country Name]. Look for interesting facts/events from the past 10 years that were important to your country or defined your country in the current era.

Some topics that are interesting: elections, government changes, effects of climate change that is unique to your country, hosting World Cups or the Olympics, rebellions, natural disasters. Make sure that the source is RELIABLE (i.e.: the New York Times, CNN, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, AP, Reuters, etc.). If you're not sure, ask me.

TRUTH & RECONCILIATION

NOTE: Many countries have never had a Truth & Reconciliation Commission. If your country has, it is listed below; you can read what happened, why, and what the commission's recommendations were.

READ THE QUESTIONS ON THE ASSIGNMENT FOR THIS SECTION. What you are trying to do is determine how a Truth & Reconciliation Commission might help address the harms of your country's colonial period.

Hint: you can use photos of other T&R Commissions to show what one would look like. You can find video or maps/infographics about T&R Commissions. Perhaps find photos that represent the harms colonialism visited upon your country.
