OTHER WAYS TO ACQUIRE STORIES

Some stories are not in the public domain and are not available for free online. If the Acalanes Library does not have a specific work or collection by an author, here are some other ways to get them:

(if you (or a parent) have a library card, you can place a book on hold online and have it sent to the library closest to your home; it usually only takes 2 days); then you pick it up from that library.

  • Off of a Subscription Literature Database (the literary work must be in public domain)
    • Blooms (linked below)
    • Gale Literature Resource Center (linked below)

  • Request a Book from the District Audiobook Subscription (ask your teacher or Ms. Burkhalter)
